• NMW is a dedicated annual time to celebrate, strengthen, and invest in marriage. It’s a time for couples, churches, and communities to focus on healthy relationships and support marriage in practical and meaningful ways.

  • NMW typically takes place every February 7 - 14, culminating in Valentine's Day.

  • National Marriage Week is primarily for those who are married but it’s also for those who hope to be married one day. Whether you're a couple, a single person, a church leader, counselor, or simply someone who values the role of marriage in society, you're invited to participate.

Our focus is on strengthening marriages through encouragement and practical resources. Our resources are available to anyone who wants them.

  • Experiences may include:

    • Date nights

    • Workshops and seminars

    • Pre-marital counseling

    • Community events or service efforts

    • Speaker broadcasts, sermons, or podcasts

    • Online articles on marriage that challenge or inspire

    • Social media efforts, memes, and marriage fun.

  • You can host one of the above events, promote NMW on your own platforms (or stream our broadcasts), invite speakers, or share our resources online. Just let us know and we'll support you however we can.

  • You can submit your local event directly to the calendar on our website so others in your area can find and attend. We also love helping spread the word! If you tag us on Facebook or Instagram stories, we’ll do our best to reshare and celebrate what you’re doing. While we can’t promote every event individually across all channels, we aim to highlight a variety of events throughout the week across our newsletter and social platforms.

  • Yes! Each year we introduce a theme to inspire and guide the focus of National Marriage Week. You're encouraged to align your events and messaging with the theme, though you're also welcome to tailor activities to best fit and reflect on your local community's needs. Our themes are designed to last all year long—so couples, churches, and organizations can continue growing in that area well beyond the week itself.

  • Yes, we offer downloadable resources like social media graphics, a couple’s connection plan, a press release, a proclamation template, and a promotional guide to help you plan and share your National Marriage Week activities.

  • There are so many meaningful ways to take part in National Marriage Week! You can:

    • Attend local events or online sessions

    • Host a community date night, small group, or marriage event

    • Share about marriage and what it means to you on social media using our official hashtag #nationalmarriageweek

    • Spread the word about our YouTube broadcasts and the many resources available
